What do you do when you have a failing tap?  Cutting out and replacing a tap isn’t always the most efficient or cost-effective method.  Thankfully Rice Pipe Integrity has your problem covered with the Plidco Tap+Enclosure.  Manufactured in three styles for ease of installation, we can offer both bolted and welded designs for sealing taps quickly and safely!  Styles include: 

• Domed Split Bolt-On 
• Domed Weld-On 
• Domed Split Weld-On 

Fittings are designed based to customer specifications but manufactured to industry standards.  The Bolted Tap+Enclosures are designed to ASME Section VIII & API 6H/6X, while Welded Tap+Enclosure and Split Weld-on Tap+Enclosures are designed to ASME Section VIII specifications.  

Buna-N packing is standard on the Split Bolt-On style. Viton, Silicone, Kevlar and other materials are available upon request.  Standard specifications include: 

• Standard body materials: – ASTM A106 Gr. C seamless pipe, ASTM A516 Gr. 70 steel plate, or ASTM A234 Gr. WPB. 
• Standard bolting:  
• ASTM A193 Gr. B7 with A194 Gr. 2H nuts.  

A multitude of options, including vents to allow sealant injection & pressure release and marine epoxy paint for corrosion protection, ensure fittings can be made to meet specific demands.  And you can rest easy, knowing Plidco is the only manufacturer in the industry to offer a 5-year limited warranty on their pipeline repair products.
